I ran a poll on my Instagram stories recently and you told me that engagement was one of your biggest challenges on Instagram right now.

So here are my solutions for you... (in no particular order)

  Poll your audience: What do they need, this or that?

Polls encourage engagement, they’re fun and you will get to know what your audience loves and why they follow you. This is good marketing data. 

Then create the content they’re asking for, this is truly serving their current needs and adding value. 

 Add a ‘Question Box’ ask:

‘What is your biggest challenge when it comes to........................right now? 

This will give you insights into your dream clients challenges so you can create content answering these questions. Super powerful sister! 

 Review your stats: this is what I call making ‘data driven decisions’. 

What has worked well in the past? How you can you repurpose it? Recreate it? 

 Go live: I know it’s scary but Instagram will push your live out, so jump in and share about a current campaign or even better COLLABORATE with an aligned account or biz besties  - it’s a win/win for everyone. 

 Post less, but add more: Three really juicy posts or reels to the grid a week is much better than posting seven mediocre pieces of content. 

Story views will go down if you’re always posting long winded talk to the camera, as well as no captions, people will tap out. Keep it short, sweet and fun.

That of old adage ‘quality over quality’ rings true. 

 Get creative! Are you stuck in a rut with your content, do your posts all look and sound the same? Or are they deliciously creative and scroll stopping? 

Is your unique personality shining? Are your posts info graphics or are your telling us a story?  We can google so much these days, make your content drool worthy.
